Position Summary: The General Production Laborer is responsible for production duties as assigned while following appropriate processes and safety regulations.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Work Instructions to position: SOPs are critical to meet customer specifications and maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Operator’s manual available on each line.
Work Safety: Ensure that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks.
Food Safety/Quality: Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority if unable to initiate action.

- Follow all safety, food safety, & GMP rules and regulations.
- Oversee and maintain the food safety and quality of the process and finished product.
- Keep work area clean and organized by practicing good housekeeping in the immediate work area.
- Assist fellow employees on an as needed basis.
- Inspect, identify and replace product and packaging that is not conforming to standards.
- Ability to properly package product in boxes and on pallets.
- Must be able to operate a case erector, facility glue pots (reaching excess of 300F), and Line 6 case dumper.
- Complete all required line documentation and reports accurately, legibly and thoroughly.
- Meet and maintain acceptable line efficiency and production standards.
- Identify issues that he/she is not able to rectify and communicate them promptly to the Production Supervisor for assistance.
- All other duties as assigned.
