This opening is for a non-compounding certified pharmacy technician position. Job schedule includes an hour lunch break during every 6 hour shift, every Saturday & Sunday off. Additional pay opportunity available for exceptional candidates.
The successful candidate would be able to do the following:
Receive written prescriptions, accept telephone refill request, and process prescriptions received electronically
Gather information needed to prepare prescriptions
Record information before prescriptions can be dispensed
Store hardcopy prescription forms after prescriptions are dispensed Enter data into the computer
Help pharmacist and team members prepare prescription by counting or pouring medications, labeling containers and pricing prescriptions
Keep pharmacy department supplies well stocked
Order, check-in and stock the pharmacy department shelves with medications when they arrive from suppliers
Prepare insurance claims and verify payment
Perform housekeeping duties within the pharmacy department

The applicant should possess profound reasoning ability including the capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form, as well as the ability to troubleshoot potential problems and triage to the right department.
