Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
- Handle janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces to promote a healthy environment
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to facilities management
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects when needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs promptly
- Use custodial equipment efficiently and safely to maximize productivity and uphold quality standards
Requirements
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Experience with industrial or residential cleaning tasks is advantageous
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies throughout shifts
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled hours
