Commercial and Ag Loan Assistant

Are you passionate about helping local businesses, farms, and individuals grow and thrive? Harvest Bank is seeking a motivated Loan Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn the fundamentals of consumer and commercial lending, values relationship banking, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

As part of a locally owned and operated bank with deep roots in Central Minnesota, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our lending team across a variety of loan types — including business loans, agricultural financing, mortgages, personal loans, and home equity lines of credit — while building a strong foundation in banking and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all loan assistant duties as requested by the Bank’s loan officers. Ensure complete and accurate information on various reports and loan documents
• Assist the loan department with the various stages of the loan process, file maintenance and perfection of collateral
• Have knowledge of the products and services that the bank provides. Cross sell Bank services to maximize customer relationships
• Work as a team player to achieve the goals of the loan department and the Bank as a whole
• Ensure all loan activities align with the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior banking, financial, accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred
• Ability to comprehend loan documentation requirements
• High level of personal accountability and regard for confidentiality
• Focused, organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, able to prioritize work and capable of working with minimal direction using proactive problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
