Cake Decorator/Baker

Harvard Sweet Boutique is seeking a friendly and highly motivated baker/cake decorator who is passionate, energetic, and highly organized. The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. Must have knowledge of baking and pastry, a positive can-do team attitude and an eagerness to learn. The candidate will maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, take pride in their work, have an eye for detail, and be receptive to constructive criticism.

This full time position is for an individual who excels at multi-tasking and production. Some days will be filling, icing, or decorating cakes, and other days, mixing/portioning cookie batters, brownies, cakes or other pastry items - no job is too big or too small! Can you follow recipes accurately and efficiently? Do you have the ability to crank out large sized batters while maintaining quality? In our kitchen, each team member is trained and then expected to be able to execute any task/position in kitchen.

Responsibilities include:

*Provide great customer service and be comfortable answering phone *Production/decoration of various baked goods and pastries *Maintain clean & orderly production area *Able to follow specific directions on custom orders and other tasks *Retrieve & organize bakery product deliveries *Wash, clean & sanitize equipment *Treat all colleagues with fairness, dignity & respect

Requirements:

*2 years commercial kitchen experience *Able to lift 50 lbs *Possess stamina to stand on feet 8 hours/day *Perform repetitive grasping, pinching, squeezing, and hand/arm motions *Able to operate bakery machinery *Must be available to work Tuesday - Saturday.
