6am-4:30pm

Shift: Friday -Sunday

8am-8:30pm

Job Summary:

As a Lead Cleaner at Harvard Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining cleanliness and order within various facilities. Your responsibilities will include performing basic cleaning, overseeing and coordinating shift tasks, ensuring all cleaning activities are completed to the highest standards, and maintaining a positive work environment while fostering teamwork among cleaning staff. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with safety and hygiene protocols, address and resolve any cleaning issues promptly and efficiently, and provide training and guidance to new and existing cleaning staff. By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all facility users.

Perform cleaning tasks in various areas, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and gum removal.
• Move and reposition furniture as needed; check and empty trash containers, replacing liners when necessary.
• Attend to spills and flooded areas, ensuring thorough cleanup of trash and restroom concerns.
• Spot clean glass surfaces and dust and pick up larger objects from the floor.
• Restock carts and closets at the end of each shift.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms: restock supplies, empty trash, clean mirrors and surfaces, sweep and mop floors, and sanitize toilets and urinals
• Assume supervisory responsibilities in the supervisor's absence
• Conduct work inspections
• Occasionally train new employees
• Attend customer requests
• Verify that inventory levels are accurate
• Perform additional duties as required.

• Must have prior experience as a Shift Leader.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in janitorial work or a related field.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members, tenants, and management.
• Excellent supervisory skills and knowledge of successful cleaning crew management.
• Ability to use a radio and iPhone to complete work orders.
• Ability to take direction from management and work independently.
• Willingness to work assigned hours, including weekends.
• Overtime assistance may be required.
• Enforce company policies and ensure quality service delivery.
• Proficiency in English is required
