Accounts Payable Clerk

VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK to work in Romulus, MI. You will provide support for a busy construction company.

POSITION TYPE: Full time, Direct hire, Onsite position. M-F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

PAY: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. Hourly position with OT paid at time and one half.

Excellent benefits and pension plan are provided. Employer paid insurance plans. Annual profit-sharing bonus.

Requirements of the Accounting Specialist:

• 3-5 years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience that includes accounts payable responsibilities.
• Good attention to detail, ability to manage priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel. Experience with an accounting or ERP system. Accurate data entry skills.
• Dependable individual who works well in a team environment.

Duties of the Accounting Specialist:

• Sort and distribute company mail. Monitor accounting email box.
• Perform accounts payable activities, reconcile accounts and expenses, provide reports and support accounting projects.
• Set up and maintain vendor information in the system.
• Entering/matching /coding vendor invoices.
• Take part in the weekly payment process.
• Provide support for vendor questions. Reconcile and resolve account balance issues.
• Process employee expense reports and company credit card statements for payment.
• Answer questions for other departments/teams. Collaborate with them to gain and provide needed information.
• Take part in month end/period end closing activities. Reconcile AP account balance.
• Complete special accounting projects and general accounting work.
