Harty Jewell, PLLC, a Yorktown based personal injury and products liability law firm, is seeking a part-time receptionist and legal assistant for our growing law practice. Must be computer proficient and have strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, and Sharepoint.

Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors to law firm at reception desk
- Answer and return phone calls as needed
- Data entry
- Draft legal documents
- Photocopy, scan and file documents
- Email and mail documents to clients, opposing counsel and court
- Assist with intake calls and intake forms
- Research and prepare case materials
- Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
- Maintain calendar and set reminders for deadlines and follow up
- Organize and manage case materials
- Communicate with court staff
- Propound and respond to discovery.
- Prepare trial binders.
- Litigation support
- Assist paralegal with attorney support
- Potential assistance with social media and marketing
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week.
Schedule:
- 5 hour shift.
- Flexible schedule offered for the right candidate.
Travel requirement: May accompany attorney to client meetings or court on occasion as needed. Must be eligible to become a Virginia notary public.
