The JobA Field Service Technician (Service Engineer) contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels by performing preventive maintenance. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone with mechanical maintenance experience who wants to learn about CNC machines. Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in the Salt Lake City, UT area include: Conduct efficient and timely preventive maintenance to include changing fluids, filters and checking accuracy of calibrationsRecommend modifications and improvements to machines, equipment and processesTrain and instruct customers on preventive maintenance best practicesSchedule preventive maintenance customer visitsIncrease field sales by promoting the PM program and other opportunitiesConduct inventory countsAbility to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basisTraveling to customer sites, usually within 2 hours from home, with occasional overnight travelThe SkillsIndividuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:Above average mechanical and electrical aptitudeRelevant mechanical or preventive work experience, inspection and/or repair experienceDemonstrated commitment to customer satisfactionExcellent attention to detail and follow through Ability to work independently, a go getter that finds the next customer that needs our help Someone who doesn't mind getting dirty or working in hot/cold environmentsGood driving record and valid driver's license to ensure fleet vehicle insurabilityThe Organization and Our BenefitsOur team of over 200 professionals throughout the U.S. is dedicated to helping manufacturers control and power the growth of their business.
