Hartwig Exhibit & Display is a Wisconsin based company that designs, constructs, and provides services for the tradeshow industry.
This position requires an individual responsible for preparing layouts, patterns, or scaled drawings for the construction of exhibits from sketches, sales specifications, or client supplied directions. Reviewing and analyzing projects, specifying materials, hardware, electrical, lighting, and building techniques. Participate in design/production meetings and client/company discussions. Respond to any issues that may develop prior to shipping, ensure all changes have been noted on prints.
CAD experience required. This position is eligible for health care benefits, time off benefits and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan.
Hours: Weekdays 8-5pm (Must be able to work flexible hours as needed)
Requirements
- High school graduation (advanced degree preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- Advanced computer proficiency.
- Working knowledge of woodworking, construction, and associated materials preferred.
- Flexible, highly organized, with the ability to prioritize, work well under pressure, and meet daily deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work the extra hours necessary for meeting deadlines at times.
- Experience with Vectorworks a plus but not necessary. Strong graphic skills, proficiency with CAD and Modeling software that can translate to using Vectorworks.
- Self-motivator and moves forward on the project even when the team is pre-occupied.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed construction / set-up drawings and floor plans for tradeshow exhibit / displays.
- Interact with Operations Manager, Designers & Sales during production phase to ensure all specifications and requirements are met.
- Interact with Metal and Wood Fabricators to explain drawings and construction techniques.
- Purchase materials required for projects and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Communicate directly with clients and account executives to review project details, updates, and design requirements.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
