Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Exhibit Builder to join our high-performing production team. This full-time position is equal parts prepping and building. You’ll be responsible for organizing, staging, and preparing exhibit components for upcoming shows while also participating in hands-on fabrication. Attention to detail and the ability to follow work orders precisely are essential, as you’ll help ensure every element of each job is accounted for and show-ready. The role includes health care benefits, paid time off, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with a team of builders to construct assigned projects from start to finish.
- Build trade show exhibits, displays, counters, pedestals, and custom components using wood, aluminum, laminates, and other materials.
- Operate shop equipment including saws, CNC routers, drills, and hand tools.
- Assemble rental and custom exhibit systems.
- Repair and refurbish exhibit components for reuse.
- Label and document components accurately for storage and future shows.
- Perform booth inspections and assist in load-in/load-out logistics.
- Pack and unpack crates/skids with care to minimize damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tour-ready production environment.
- Complete fabrication tasks efficiently and within set deadlines.
- Accurately fill out production paperwork and time reports.
- Prepare and apply metal and plastic laminates.
- Safely move equipment and materials using material handling equipment.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required (advanced degree preferred).
- Willingness to learn new skills and commit to extra hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to progress on projects independently.
- Background in construction is a plus.
- Experience in the exhibit industry is a plus.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Mandatory overtime may be required during peak seasons, with the potential to work up to 12-hour days, including weekends.
