Purpose and Principle Responsibilities
Following established procedures, coordinates the fulfillment of sales orders by determining requirements for, controlling, and coordinating the location and/or ordering of material and parts needed to meet schedules. Critical thinking is required regarding MRP and material allocations resulting in developing a comprehensive shipment plan that includes details on shortages. Responsible to expedite shortages within cross functional internal teams and expedite shortages through production process. Overall must accept demonstrate the responsibility of ownership of assigned business unit product line.
Essential Duties - other duties may be assigned

Analyzes new orders to determine requirements for and current availability of material castings, forgings, extrusions, and other material, Understanding MRP is essential.

Quotes lead time for the shipment of orders based on availability of parts and material and revises shipment dates to considering lead time required from suppliers.

Responds to requests for expediting the shipment of orders by locating and expediting required materials through the manufacturing processes or by coordinating the procurement of material from vendors.

Controls the allocation of incoming parts and material to ensure best accommodating of delivery schedules.

Works within assigned Business Unit and operations personnel to communicate status of the material process and resolve critical delivery requirements and resolve production scheduling
Education and/or Experience Required

To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Four or more years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment

Must have knowledge of MRP systems, production processes, outside processing and general procurement functions.

Must be able to work with others in resolving conflicting priorities. Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Knowledge of Avante ERP system and/or LN Aerospace a plus

APICS courses highly desirable
Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to monitor supply flow and identify shortages or bottlenecks of shortages that might arise

Develop weekly / Monthly shipment schedules

Ability to recover schedule/revenue with future planned orders.

Prepare status and performance reports to help resolve any production issues. Such as LOB (line of balance) and or key milestone recovery.

Soft skills required; attention to detail, assertiveness, communication and team work collaboration.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
General office environment with office equipment usage. Requires usage of computer and computer software. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Answers telephone calls and occasionally bends over, reaches and pushes and pulls file drawers. Moves within the office and factory to collect, deliver, and copy documents. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
