Job Title: Sales Team Member
Department: Home Décor/Fixtures
Overview: As a Sales Team Member in the Home Fixtures department, you will be an integral part of our sales team, responsible for assisting guests in finding the perfect fixtures for their homes including lighting, vanities, closet storage and toilets. Your role will involve providing product knowledge, offering design advice, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Greet and assist guests in the Home Fixtures department with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Engage guests in meaningful conversations to understand their needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice on home fixtures, including lighting, toilets, and other related products.
- Product Knowledge:
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the store's home fixtures inventory.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in the home improvement industry.
- Assist guests in making informed decisions by explaining product features, benefits, and installation requirements.
- Sales and Target Achievement:
- Actively promote and sell home fixture products to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to implement effective sales strategies and promotions.
- Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and explore additional product offerings.
- Merchandising:
- Ensure that the Home Fixtures department is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in home improvement or home fixtures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A passion for home improvement and a keen eye for design.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills for processing sales transactions.
- Be able to climb an 8 ft. ladder to stock department
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in interior design or a related field is a plus.
Job Particulars:
Must be willing to work Saturdays and evenings until 7pm.
