Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Landscaping Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate outdoor maintenance projects, ensuring high-quality landscape and grounds care. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscaping technicians on various outdoor projects, including lawn care, planting, hardscape installation, and grounds maintenance.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of construction projects and routine landscape services.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools.
- Oversee irrigation management and troubleshooting to maintain healthy landscapes.
- Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management; perform horticultural duties as needed.
- Maintain safety standards by enforcing proper equipment operation procedures and promoting safe outdoor work practices.
- Manage company vehicle operation during project transportation and client site visits while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations.
- Support team development through training on landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to plan landscaping layouts and execute design specifications effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscaping, lawn care, or grounds maintenance with a strong understanding of landscape upkeep techniques.
- Supervising or team management experience in outdoor environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, irrigation systems, hardscape installation, and tree care.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely; experience with grounds maintenance tools is essential.
- Construction experience related to outdoor projects is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients alike.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles required.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; comfort working on uneven terrain is necessary.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
