Duties
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering.
- Utilize fabrication skills to create custom parts or modify existing components to meet repair specifications.
- Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting, auto restoration, and automotive body refinishing to achieve a flawless finish.
- Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment efficiently and safely during repairs.
- Install automotive parts and perform vehicle maintenance tasks as needed to ensure proper fitment and function.
- Apply auto estimating skills to assess damage and determine the scope of repairs accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role within a dealership or independent shop setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and automotive cosmetic repair techniques.
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, and automotive welding equipment.
- Familiarity with auto painting processes including airless paint spraying and auto body refinishing.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other specialized equipment safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, parts installation, and auto restoration projects.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to accurately estimate repairs and communicate effectively with clients.

Pay: $22.00 - $33.18 per hour
