Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy construction machinery, particularly Manual dump trucks, and possess a strong understanding of safety regulations and equipment maintenance. This role involves transporting materials across construction sites, supporting excavation, grading, paving, and utility work projects. Candidates should be committed to safety, efficiency, and maintaining high standards of vehicle operation.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and water trucks in accordance with project specifications and safety guidelines
- Transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety procedures
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and related machinery to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance
- Assist with excavation, grading, paving, utility locating, and site preparation tasks as needed
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures during daily operations.
- Maintain detailed logs of vehicle use, inspections, and maintenance activities
Skills
- Proven experience with commercial truck driving and heavy equipment operation in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations at all times.
- Strong understanding of construction site protocols including grading, paving, utility installation, and site cleanup
- Excellent driving record with valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor environments for extended periods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
