We are seeking a Risk Analyst to support data management and risk controls. The Risk team measures and monitors trading, hedging, and marketing activities, providing Senior Management with consistent visibility into key risks across the firm.

Key Accountabilities

• Data Operational Management. Encompasses data gathering, data validation, Data Manipulation (parsing, aggregations, derivations) and Profiling (Grading, Modeling)
• Development of new risk oversight tools/reports/projects in an embedded risk management development team
• Execution of daily risk measurement reports. This includes maintaining quality control and implementing enhancements
• Monitoring of daily alerts and trading guidelines (notional size, tenor, VaR) and documentation of risk limit/guideline breaches
• Conduct both quantitative and fundamental research to support portfolio investment decisions.
• Deliver insightful analytics that enable business decision-making and commercial growth of the portfolio.
• Support and challenge the business on risk identification and risk assessment, including the identification and facilitation of discussions around emerging risks.
• Active participation in discussions/interactions with the team members and traders. This may include topics such as reviewing trading strategies to better understand risk/reward, embedded optionality of non-standard transactions or exploring alternative structures to optimize return

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in risk management, analytics, trading support, or a related discipline.
• Strong spreadsheet (VBA), database skills (SQL), and solid programming language like Python
• Ability to work independently and industriously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and collaborate with team members across functions.

Preferred

• Familiarity with US gas & power markets and derivatives (futures/swaps).
• Understand risk measures (e.g., Value-at-Risk, stress testing)
• Numerical computing like NumPy

The salary range for this position is $98,500 - $104,300. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, work location, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
