Hartmann Young is partnering with a leading high-speed, high-volume manufacturing business undergoing major operational investment and infrastructure expansion. With a strong national footprint and continued growth across its product portfolio, the company is now seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to support reliability, maintenance, and engineering performance at its Kissimmee, FL facility.
This is a senior, on-site engineering leadership role focused on driving uptime, developing maintenance teams, and managing capital projects across a complex, high-throughput manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in industrial engineering, strong people-management capabilities, and a proven ability to improve plant reliability. Food, beverage, or bakery manufacturing experience is not mandatory but is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and develop a maintenance team of approximately 20 Industrial Mechanics
Manage Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs to maximise equipment uptime
Lead major capital projects, including equipment acquisition and facility upgrades
Drive KPIs related to reliability, efficiency, and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)
Ensure full compliance with OSHA safety standards and food quality expectations
Oversee plant infrastructure, utilities, and critical equipment performance
Ideal Candidate:
10 years of progressive Engineering & Maintenance experience in manufacturing
Proven leadership background managing large technical or maintenance teams
Experience in high-speed, high-volume industrial environments
Bakery, food, or beverage industry experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and accessing elevated platforms
Capability to stand or walk 100% of the shift, with regular bending and reaching
Continuous hand and neck movement required for mechanical tasks
