The Inside Sales Professional is the most critical contact position between Hartmann Building Specialties and our customers. As an Inside Sales Professional, you are the front line source of product and construction knowledge that our clients need in order to complete their projects safely and efficiently. You will provide excellent customer service through effective communication, product awareness completing quotes and sales orders, communicating delivery times and resolving any issues. Working side by side with Outside Sales force and the multiple branches, you are the main driver of delivering expertise and value to our customers. Pay listed on really is a guideline.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships and trust by being a dependable source of construction knowledge, information and experience.
- Serve as Hartmann’s main customer point of contact through fielding inbound calls, emails and other means of personal and electronic communication.
- Grow and possess technical product knowledge in order to provide solutions to customer projects and issues.
- Continuously solicit business from new and potential customers by having an in-depth understanding of current and future projects, market information and competitor awareness.
- Collaborate alongside Outside Sales, Operations and Management with sales quotes, orders, deliveries and customer issues.
- Procure and source as needed stock and special order items in order to satisfy customer project requirements.
- Communicate new products, updates, information and special offerings to both current and potential customers.
- Attend and conduct regular training sessions with vendors to develop and stay current on product data, knowledge and industry trends.
- Grow and develop knowledge regarding concrete practices, rebar fabrication, concrete products, anchor bolts, consumable products and concrete forming systems.
- Collaborate with leadership, Inside Sales and other team members to develop and implement new sales strategies, practices and products that can increase customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Seek out and develop new business opportunities in local and new market territories.
- Prospect new clients and perform follow up on all quotes in order to exceed branch and company sales initiatives.
- Complete daily activity reports and follow up on all issued quotes in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills through programs and training.
- Gather and report to management market information regarding customers, competitors, pricing, products and forecast.
- Follow all company safety policies, rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job.
- Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned as business requires.
- Operate in a team oriented and customer driven environment.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Strong outgoing personality and the ability to effectively communicate with others.
- Previous sales experience in the residential, commercial or industrial construction fields a plus.
- Ability to forge and cultivate professional relationships.
- Possess project management traits and have the ability to effectively negotiate.
- Demonstrate strong self motivation skills and the ability to manage your own workload and time.
- Ability to occasionally work in industrial and/or manufacturing environments that may be subject to loud noises and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and rapidly adapt to change.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Overnight travel may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,555.00 - $60,790.00 per year
