What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Medical Assistant position at Hartland Family Physicians?
Full time Medical Assistant needed for a busy Family Medicine office located in Hartland, MI. Athena EMR is used in our office. Experience with venipuncture. We are looking for a person passionate about their work, committed to their patients with an exceptional work ethic. Our benefit package includes health coverage, vacation pay and a 401K.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ABILITIES & SKILLS):
- Demonstrated competency in obtaining accurate patient history/vital statistics (Surgical and family history, height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
- Proficient/knowledgeable in medical terminology.
- Proficiency in operating a standard desktop and Windows-based computer system, including but not limited to, electronic medical records, email, e-learning and computer navigation. Ability to use other software as required while performing the essential functions of the job.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms, including proper phone etiquette.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; courteous and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively with various levels of organizational members and diverse populations including staff, providers, patients, vendors, family members and outside customers.
- Good organizational and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple priorities, time constraints and ever-changing medical situations.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations needed during the course of performing basic job duties, ie: calculating proper dosages for immunizations.
- Knowledge of the compliance aspects of clinical care and patient privacy and best practices in medical office operations.
- Ability to handle patient and organizational information in a confidential manner.
- Ability to monitor, organize, stock, prepare and keep exam rooms clean; maintain medical supply inventory in clinical areas.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
