The Mechanical, Aerospace, and Acoustical Engineering Department at the University of Hartford invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2026. While applicants from all areas of Mechanical Engineering are welcome, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the general area of Mechanical Design, including machine and mechanism design, and/or mechatronics, and secondarily in solid mechanics, and/or manufacturing. The qualified applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree, excellent potential and dedication to teaching, research, service, and professional activities.Applications are sought from candidates who can help the department conduct innovative research and provide world-class engineering education. The Department is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their research, teaching, and/or service to the inclusive excellence in the academic community.
