What are the responsibilities and job description for the Batboy position at Hartford Yardgoats?
This is a seasonal, part time position that will start mid March 2024 and end mid/late September 2024.

Pregame:
Arrive 45 minutes before first pitch
Fill water and Gatorade for dugouts with cups (water for bullpens)
Gum and sunflower seeds for dugouts
5 Gatorade Towels for each dugout (Trainers’ towels)
Clear practice balls off of the field
Bring rosin bag to the back of the pitching mound
During Game:
When your team is up to bat make sure bat weights, tar, etc. are in the on deck circle
Get the bat from home plate after every at bat and bring it back to the dugout
If a foul ball is still in play run to get it out of the way
Watch the umpire for when he needs new balls - he will tell you how many
Pick up garbage from dugout throughout the game
Post Game:
Empty coolers and put back where they were before the game
Pick up towels, cups, garbage, etc.
Must be at least 16 years old to be considered for this position
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Availability to work Hartford Yard Goats home games. This may include weeknights, weekends and holidays.
* Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
* Ability to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time

If you are offered employment, the positions listed above are Part Time, Seasonal positions. All positions are considered Non-Exempt for FLSA purposes. The hourly rate for all Seasonal positions is $15.69 per hour. As a Part Time, Seasonal employee, you will not have a regular schedule. Your schedule will be based on the Company's business needs, which vary week to week and month to month depending primarily on the 2024 Minor League home baseball schedule for the Hartford Yard Goats. There are no minimum hours guaranteed during any day, week, month or year of your employment.
