The Hartford School District is seeking an Educational Evaluator to join our District Evaluation Team. The Educational Evaluator supports the district’s special education process by coordinating and conducting comprehensive educational evaluations for students referred for potential special education services. Working collaboratively with school teams, families, and multidisciplinary staff, the evaluator develops evaluation plans, administers and interprets academic assessments, reviews student data, and prepares clear written reports that inform eligibility decisions and educational planning. The role ensures evaluation processes meet state and federal special education requirements while maintaining accurate timelines and documentation.
In addition to conducting evaluations, the Educational Evaluator provides consultation and guidance to educators and school teams regarding student learning needs, academic interventions, and interpretation of assessment data. The position participates in evaluation, planning, and IEP meetings and works closely with special education administration and related professionals to support effective, data-informed decision-making across the district.
