Catholic Academy of Waterbury (CAW), a Catholic elementary school, is searching for a part-time Spanish teacher for Grades 5-8 for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities would include creating an engaging learning environment that fosters academic and spiritual growth, develops Grades 5-8 students’ Spanish target-language skills and a love of learning. Additionally, the candidate must be able to:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that address spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Use diverse instructional techniques such as modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, and reinforcing.
- Create age-appropriate lessons, utilizing the Archdiocese of Hartford curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
- Introduce the students to the associated culture, focusing on foundational skills like listening, speaking, and foundational reading and writing.
