Job Summary
The Patient Service Coordinator is key to creating a positive patient experience by facilitating clear communication among patients, healthcare providers, and clinical staff, ensuring smooth and efficient office operations.
- Serves patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, registering patients, and maintaining records and accounts.
- Handles a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, efficiently scheduling appointments and verifying insurances to ensure timely, accurate, friendly and clinically appropriate patient access.
- Performs daily administrative and operational duties, including transcription of referrals, managing registration work queues, and maintaining work lists.
- Responds to incoming correspondence from patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and beyond, in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.
- This role provides coverage at other offices bringing variety to your workday and the chance to collaborate across multiple teams and communities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED equivalent, OR a minimum of 2 years customer service experience preferred
- 1 Year customer service experience in a fast-paced medical office preferred
- Epic and insurance verification experience preferred.
