Territory covers Western MN & South Dakota Sioux Falls, SD preferred location.
This is a field-based role, not office-based. Candidates must live in or near Sioux Falls and be available to travel throughout South Dakota and western Minnesota 4–5 days per week.

Education & Experience Preferred: degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power, Automation/Robotics, Motion Control, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience. Mechanical aptitude and a drive to continuously learn new products and technologies are essential.

What You'll Do
- Hit the field hard. Schedule 2-4 in-person customer calls daily. This role rewards high activity and consistent presence in the territory.
- Grow the business. Expand revenue within existing accounts and aggressively pursue new customers using the Funnel process to identify, prioritize, and win opportunities.
- Get technical. Develop deep knowledge of focus product lines and working familiarity across all others. Customers rely on you as the expert, so own that.
- Solve problems, don't just sell parts. Apply critical thinking and consultative techniques to understand customer challenges and recommend the right solutions.
- Collaborate to win. Lead weekly Team Funnel meetings, leverage Product Specialists and supplier resources, and engage in team selling to maximize results.
- Stay sharp and organized. Update sales and funnel activity weekly, submit accurate monthly expense reports, and complete Action Selling and other required training.
- Operate with integrity. Represent Hartfiel Automation's mission, values, and quality standards in every customer interaction.
