Class B CDL Driver – Refuse Collection Route Driver

Harter's Expert Disposal is a family owned, multi-generation, and growing company. We currently have an opportunity for a CDL driver for our refuse collection routes. We seek drivers who are able to work in a fast-paced environment. Driver's are home every afternoon with very competitive compensation packages.

Job Summary:

Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on various commercial, and residential routes.

Physical labor required/working outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, hot, cold, etc)

Daily start time- 3:30am with an estimated 50 hours per week

Starting Pay- $25-$30 per hour- based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.

Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.

Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.

Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris.

Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.

Qualifications :

Commercial Drivers License B (CDL) with air-brake endorsement.

Must be 21 years of age.

Eligible to legally work in the United States.

Acceptable driving record required.
