We are seeking a Laboratory Analyst who brings technical expertise, strong communication and sales skills, and a shared commitment to our mission: to protect public health and educate the public about water safety through accurate, science-based analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chemical, physical, and microbiological testing on drinking water samples according to EPA and ELAP regulatory standards.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data integrity.
- Communicate test results and their implications to clients clearly and professionally.
- Report data to local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, and interface with those agencies on behalf of clients to support compliance.
- Educate clients and the public on the importance of water quality and the meaning of test results.
- Identify client needs and promote tailored water testing services to support both compliance and peace of mind.
- Help maintain quality assurance standards and assist with audits to retain laboratory accreditations (e.g., NYS ELAP).
✅ Qualifications:
- Minimum associates degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of lab experience preferred; experience with regulatory reporting and client interaction is a plus.
- Familiarity with EPA drinking water testing methods (e.g., 200.8, 524.2, 9215D, 533).
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sales aptitude and customer service experience in a technical or scientific setting.
- Commitment to scientific integrity and public education.
