Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Direct Support Professional (DSP) based in Shelton, CT. The DSP will provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities, personal development, and social engagement. Responsibilities include supporting clients in their homes or community, facilitating skill-building activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The DSP will also participate in training programs and maintain accurate records of client progress and activities.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Human Services and understanding of Intellectual Disabilities
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and effective Communication abilities
- Experience in providing Training and support to individuals
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and build meaningful relationships
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education in a related field is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (as applicable to the duties)
