Overview

Job duties for landscape construction foreman and laborers include installation of landscaping material. Tasks include grading/excavating, construction of pergolas, outdoor kitchens/fireplaces, artificial turf installation, low voltage landscape lighting, retaining wall construction, planting, placing pavers and stones, installing fabric, sod, decorative rock, mulch, and operating hand tools as well as small and large equipment. Experience is required.

Position Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to and from work or designated work site
• Ability to read basic job outlines/blueprints
• Willing to provide an exceptional level of service to clients
• The ability to lift 50 pounds may be necessary
• Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to move through tasks urgently and manage time effectively
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Willing to establish and maintain professional relationships with supervisory staff, crew members, customers, and community members

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Previous landscaping (hardscape and softscape) experience
• Pergola Construction
• Outdoor Kitchen/Fireplace Construction
• Masonry/Retaining Wall Construction
• Irrigation Systems
• Draining Solutions
• Stone Venner Installation
• Artificial Turf Installation
• Concrete Paver Construction
• Proficiency in operating equipment, such as skid steers and excavators with various attachments
• Valid Driver’s License

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installation of material according to design specifications
• Installation of annual and perennial beds and planters
• Installation of drainage systems
• Installation of fabric, sod, decorative rock, mulch, etc.
• Installation of pavers and stones
• Operate light and heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools
• Keep work vehicles, equipment, and work trailers clean and organized
• Perform daily equipment safety checks
• Attend all required training and meetings
• Other duties as assigned
