Job Summary
The Rec Center Associate supports the daily operations of the Family Recreation Center by providing excellent customer service, assisting members and guests with recreational activities, processing sales and rentals, maintaining facilities and equipment, and supporting Activities Department programs and events. This position helps create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable recreation experience for all participants.
Overall Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service and professional communication to members, guests, and fellow employees.
- Support the operation of the Family Recreation Center and recreational activities.
- Promote a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for participants.
- Follow Resort policies, safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Staff the Family Recreation Center and provide assistance to members and guests.
- Answer phones, take messages, assist with reservations, and utilize Resort software systems.
- Issue, collect, and maintain accountability for recreational equipment and rentals.
- Process sales transactions, concession purchases, equipment rentals, and payments while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages at the Recreation Center and Activities Department events.
- Provide instruction and assistance to participants involved in recreational activities.
- Assist with promotional efforts, creative projects, and event support activities.
- Perform routine cleaning of the Recreation Center, surrounding grounds, and mini golf area.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of recreational equipment, bicycles, and related tools.
- Monitor activities and promote the safety of all participants, members, and guests.
