Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Service vehicles by replacing worn parts, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring proper vehicle operation.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems effectively.
- Complete auto estimating tasks to determine repair costs and communicate findings clearly to customers.
- Maintain detailed service records, update vehicle histories, and ensure all work meets quality standards.
Requirements
- Service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics, including engine performance, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery.
