Window Treatment Installation Technician – Paid Training

Join Harry’s Window Treatments LLC as a Window Treatment Installation Technician and learn a skilled trade through hands-on, paid training.

We specialize in residential and commercial window-treatment installation throughout South Florida. Our work includes blinds, roller shades, motorized shades, shutters, drapery tracks, and other custom window-covering systems.

Previous window-treatment experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working with their hands, and genuinely interested in learning the trade.

This is a hands-on position. You will initially work alongside an experienced installer and take on greater responsibility as your skills develop.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of blinds, shades, shutters, drapery tracks, and motorized window treatments
  • Accurately measure and verify window and product dimensions
  • Drill, mount, level, anchor, assemble, and secure window-treatment products and hardware
  • Learn proper installation techniques for drywall, concrete, wood, metal, and other mounting surfaces
  • Safely use drills, impact drivers, hand tools, power tools, levels, tape measures, ladders, and other installation equipment
  • Assist with troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, and programming of window-treatment products
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize products, tools, ladders, and installation materials
  • Protect customers' floors, walls, furniture, and surrounding areas during installations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area before leaving each job site
  • Follow work orders, measurements, product specifications, and installation instructions
  • Work alongside other installers on larger residential and commercial projects
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners, contractors, designers, project managers, and other customers
  • Follow company procedures and job-site safety requirements
  • Travel to installation locations throughout South Florida as scheduled

Requirements

  • No previous window-treatment experience required — paid training is provided
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools or willing and able to learn
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure or willingness to learn
  • Comfortable drilling, mounting, leveling, and performing hands-on installation work
  • Comfortable using ladders and working at elevated heights
  • Ability to lift and carry window treatments, ladders, tools, and installation materials
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to arrive at scheduled job sites on time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new installation techniques
  • Professional appearance and behavior when working inside customers' homes and businesses
  • Good communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently as skills develop and as part of a team on larger projects
  • Flexibility with work hours, as installation schedules may vary depending on the project

Preferred but Not Required

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

  • Window-treatment installation
  • Construction or remodeling
  • Handyman or maintenance work
  • Carpentry or cabinetry
  • Electrical or low-voltage work
  • AV or motorized equipment installation
  • Fixture installation
  • Commercial installation
  • Other hands-on skilled trades

Pay & Training

Pay range: $18–$30 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

Paid hands-on training is provided for candidates who do not have previous window-treatment experience.

Applicants with professional window-treatment or related installation experience may qualify for a higher starting rate based on their ability to work independently.

As you develop your skills and become capable of completing installations with less supervision, there will be opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who wants to learn a trade, develop real installation skills, and grow with the company.
