Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demos to maximize sales potential
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment to keep the store fully stocked
- Apply basic math skills for cash register operations, pricing adjustments, and transaction balancing
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support store operations by participating in merchandising initiatives and promotional activities
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers to ensure smooth daily operations
- Promote a positive shopping environment through friendly interaction and attentive service
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; experience in grocery stores is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a broader customer base effectively
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and retail math essentials
- Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, standing for extended periods, and lifting moderate loads
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional remote communication when needed
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation strategies
