Summary: Responsible for ensuring availability and operational effectiveness of IT systems and overseeing all helpdesk related issues.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitors performance and maintains network and computer systems
  • Installs and configures computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Designs, analyzes, corrects, and isolates issues on switches and other network features
  • Tests, implements, and deploys upgrades for software and hardware including Windows Server and Hyper-V
  • Tests, diagnoses, and traces Ethernet drops
  • Deploys new applications, software upgrades, and patches
  • Collaborates with the IT Director and other members of the IT staff to ensure efficient operation of the company's computing environment
  • Provides technical support across the company
  • Creates and maintains documentation and inventory for network configuration, network mapping, processes, service records, network hardware, and any other computer equipment.
  • Accurately and timely documents instances of network and desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree in computer technology or equivalent; or three to five years' current related experience and/or training.


Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office and networking.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
