Job Description

The teacher will be expected to ensure the curriculum is accessible to all students and maintain the integrity of the classroom, computer lab, and student equipment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Meet all scheduled classes/labs/site visits and provide instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the District and approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) course standards. Meet all expectations of the professional practices and measures of student learning provided in the Colorado State Model Evaluation System.
- Inform students of course requirements through a course syllabus, including specific objectives, means of attaining objectives, and methods of instruction and grading.
- Evaluate students on a continuing basis to allow them to be aware of their own progress.
- Maintain and submit records as required by policy and procedures.
- Recommend instructional materials, textbooks, appropriate instructional equipment, and supportive reference materials.
- Promote equal opportunity education within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain required credentials, licenses, certification as appropriate, and proficiency and up-to-date knowledge in the subject matter area.
- Demonstrate understanding of the concepts of diversity and multiculturalism and their application in the workplace.
- Maintain and account for all resources, including but not limited to computers, cameras, and production equipment.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor/administrator.
- Required: Criminal background check and District fingerprinting.
- Required: License/Authorization in Career and Technical Education (CTE) as required by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
- Required: Must have or be eligible to complete and maintain all CTE credentialing requirements and program authorizations issued by the Colorado State Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE).
- Preferred: Experience teaching Multimedia classes at the high school level on a high school campus.
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience and ability with alternative teaching and learning delivery systems, such as online classes, remote learning, and the various uses of technology in the classroom.
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience and ability to work with economically disadvantaged students, learning-disabled students, and students from diverse educational backgrounds.
- Demonstrated skills in delivering culturally responsive instruction to all students.
- Demonstrated knowledge of content area in either the education or professional setting.
- Knowledge of online platforms and software related to development of student content mastery and production.
- Knowledge of computer, camera, and production equipment use and educational application.
