What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative Aide position at Harrison Nursing and Rehabilitation Center?
POSITION PURPOSE:
Work with the clinical Interdisciplinary team to provide restorative nursing services under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or therapist with the goal of assisting residents to attain or maintain their highest practicable level of physical and functional well-being.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
- Responsible for carrying out individual restorative programs designed by a licensed nurse and/or therapist.
- Communicates observations of resident participation and response to restorative activities.
- Document restorative activities per facility policy.
- Assist residents with restorative activities that include, but may not be limited to, ambulation/transfers, dressing/grooming, range of motion activities, contracture support/splinting, dining, toileting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
A State Registered Nurse Aide that has successfully completed required restorative nursing competencies. Maintain current/active SRNA status and required annual training and competencies.
