Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts to load and unload materials safely.
- Manage inventory through effective picking, packing, and stock organization within the distribution center.
- Delivering materials with commercial vehicles for customers and contractors.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all products are accounted for and properly documented.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain operational efficiency.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Build pallets for shipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving shipping, receiving, or distribution center operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling the candidate to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Experience with load/unload procedures and stock management will be beneficial for success in this role.
- A strong understanding of picking and packing processes will enhance operational efficiency.
