Under the supervision of the shipping foreman, the shipping technician packs charges in preparation for shipment to customers. The technician will be responsible for the retrieval of finished product from other departments, inspect for visual or cosmetic flaws, pack according to specification and stack boxes onto pallets for storage or immediate shipment. Technician will also retrieve packaged products from warehouse according orders and prepare for shipment by labeling, stacking on a pallet and wrapping. The technician will also load and unload trucks, retrieve packaging material from the warehouse, assemble cardboard trays, staple boxes and any other duty as directed by the shipping foreman. The use of scales, vacuum sealers, staplers, hand truck or dolly, pallet jack and fork lift are required. Maintaining a clean and organized work station is a must. Regular work schedule is Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm.
- Be able to lift 80lbs
- Have good manual dexterity
- Stand for long periods of time
- Possess good communication skills
- Understand written and spoken English
- Packing/shipping experience preferred but not required
