The Employee Benefits Account Executive will act as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of employer clients, providing trusted advisory guidance and delivering best-in-class benefits solutions. This is a highly visible role with a strong client-facing emphasis: the ideal candidate will be confident in front of C-Suite executives, able to present complex data in a clear and compelling way, and prepared to accompany producers to client meetings as the service team’s representative “face” in the market.
Key Accountabilities
- Directly manage and grow a portfolio of employer groups, driving long-term retention and satisfaction.
- Client relationship management.
- Deliver polished, data-driven presentations to senior leadership and decision-makers, covering claims analysis, renewal terms, contribution modeling, benchmarking, and plan design alternatives.
- Partner with producers in client-facing meetings, strengthening relationships with C-Suite executives and ensuring seamless alignment between sales and service delivery.
- Oversee all day-to-day account deliverables, including compliance documentation (5500s, SPDs, SBCs, etc.), open enrollment planning, and resolution of escalated client issues.
- Serve as the liaison between clients and carriers, advocating for tailored, timely benefits solutions.
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients, anticipating needs and setting expectations.
- Identify opportunities to expand or update coverage by sourcing competitive and innovative proposals.
- Conduct in-person and virtual enrollment meetings, delivering clear and engaging benefit education.
Qualifications
- 2-15 state insurance license required (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5 years of employee benefits account management experience.
- Proven ability to succeed in executive-level presentations and client-facing environments.
- Demonstrated success managing a meaningful book of business within a brokerage setting.
- Advanced communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
