Position Overview
The Construction Survey Technician (CST) is responsible for executing precise field layout using advanced survey technology to translate coordinated models into accurate, constructible installation points. This role plays a critical part in ensuring project accuracy, safety, and efficiency on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field layout using survey equipment and technology
- Verify and document layout points to ensure accuracy
- Identify and communicate site conflicts or discrepancies to the CST Lead
- Maintain survey equipment and adhere to all safety protocols
- Track progress, updates, and project blockers in Monday.com
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Basic knowledge of construction processes and job site operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional and dependable work ethic
Work Environment
- Primarily field-based role
- Regular exposure to active construction sites and varying weather conditions
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Prior construction field experience (preferred)
- Willingness to learn and use survey technology systems (preferred)
