HFA is a nationally recognized leader in convenience store and fueling facility design, and we are growing our specialized Fueling Systems team. We’re looking for a Tank & Piping Designer / Engineer who wants to play a key role designing Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems and fueling infrastructure for projects across the continental United States.
If you have experience with fueling systems, USTs, and piping layouts for retail fueling facilities, this is an opportunity to work with an experienced team delivering solutions for some of the most recognized brands in the industry.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help design and document fueling systems that keep projects moving from concept through construction.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Designing UST systems and fueling piping layouts that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements
- Producing construction documents in Revit for retail fueling and convenience store projects
- Supporting the development and maintenance of tank and piping prototype design standards
- Coordinating with site civil engineers, architects, equipment vendors, and clients to execute project plans
- Troubleshooting design challenges and contributing solutions within a collaborative project team
- Maintaining visibility of assigned tasks and schedules for internal teams and clients
- Coordinating with in-house engineering staff to ensure design quality and compliance
- Delivering work accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with HFA standards
What Your First Few Weeks Will Look Like
Your onboarding will focus on helping you quickly get up to speed with how HFA delivers projects.
You’ll learn:
- HFA’s design and drawing standards
- Our project workflows and fueling system processes
- How our teams collaborate across disciplines
- From there, you’ll gradually take on more ownership and independence on projects while working closely with experienced teammates.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with Underground Storage Tanks (USTs), fueling systems, and piping design but will train the successful candidate.
- Familiarity with retail fueling environments (gas stations / convenience stores)
- Understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding fueling systems
- Proficiency in Revit for construction document production
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate effectively with project teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
