Job Title: Intensive In-Home Trauma Recovery Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Intensive In-Home Trauma Recovery Specialist to provide therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families experiencing trauma-related challenges. This role involves delivering evidence-based interventions in the client’s home and community to promote healing, emotional stability, and family cohesion. The therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans, address crisis situations, and support long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive, trauma-informed therapy to children, adolescents, and families in their homes and community settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based trauma interventions such as TF-CBT
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including risk and safety assessments, to determine treatment needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning to prevent hospitalization or out-of-home placements.
  • Collaborate with caregivers, schools, social services, and other community resources to ensure coordinated care.
  • Offer psychoeducation on trauma, coping strategies, and emotional regulation to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and licensing requirements.
  • Attend regular supervision, training, and team meetings to ensure adherence to best practices and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to build rapport with diverse populations and work in a home-based setting.
  • Experience providing crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with trauma-impacted individuals and families.
  • Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) or similar trauma-focused treatment.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth, child welfare, or juvenile justice-involved families.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Flexible schedule with evening and weekend availability as needed.
  • Primarily home-based with some office-based or virtual sessions as necessary.
  • Requires travel within assigned service areas.
