Responsibilities
● Able to read and understand the scope of work
● Ability to use resources and manage the project in order to complete the scope
● Prepare the budget based on the scope of work
● Able to monitor and control project budgets
● Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
● Provide project updates on a consistent basis to internal and external parties
● Determine all the resources needed (equipment, vendors, materials) with attention to budget constraints
● Show initiative, understand, educate and stay informed on the best practices of the industry and instruct crew members of these practices
● Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary
● Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
● Supervise the crew members and provide guidance as needed
Qualifications for Project Manager
● High school diploma or equivalent
● 3–5-year experience in project management
● Ability to solve problems
● Strong knowledge and experience of construction
● Strong familiarity with project management, computer skills and carpenter tools
● Strong social and communication skills
● Proven ability to complete projects according to scope, budget and timeline
● Strong leadership skills, team management skills and self-management skills
