Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor property and identify potential security threats or incidents
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies following established procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events
- Assist with emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols
- Perform background checks on visitors or vendors as required to maintain compliance with security regulations
- Engage with visitors and staff professionally to provide excellent customer service while maintaining security standards
Experience
- Prior experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control technology
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures
- Familiarity with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting safety practices
- Experience in incident report writing and conflict de-escalation strategies
- Background in military service or physical security roles is a plus
- Ability to perform background checks and enforce compliance with security regulations
