- Collect blood samples via venipuncture and skin puncture
- Accurately label and prepare specimens for lab analysis
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ease concerns
- Follow proper protocols for infection control and patient safety
- Enter documentation in the electronic medical records system
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient-centered care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification from an accredited phlebotomy program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- 1 year of inpatient hospital or clinical phlebotomy experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules (weekends, evenings, holidays)
