Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and general repairs to keep facilities in excellent condition
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management to address issues efficiently
- Conduct inspections of the property to identify potential repairs or safety hazards before they escalate
- Assist with setup and teardown for events or special projects within the premises
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and supplies are properly stored and inventory is tracked
- Collaborate with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs or installations are required
- Document completed work, maintenance activities, and safety inspections accurately for record-keeping purposes
Skills
- Proven experience as a handyman or in general maintenance work with a broad skill set across multiple trades
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and basic appliance repair
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics as needed for complex repairs
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report on maintenance activities
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks in various environments and conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred; certification in specific trades (e.g., electrician’s license) is a plus
