We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. As a Courier Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the packages entrusted to you.
Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to deliver packages to designated locations.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the route.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including sorting packages and preparing them for delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is preferred.
- Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus but not required.
