We’re looking for a skilled CAD Drafter/Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong 3D modeling experience, preferably from a sheet metal or metal fabrication background, who loves bringing design concepts to life and working alongside a dedicated team in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Use 3D modeling software to bring customer projects to life, ensuring the models reflect accurate dimensions and customer specs.
• Create detailed shop drawings and communicate directly with shop personnel to ensure smooth construction.
• Organize and manage both paper and digital copies of shop drawings for easy assembly.
• Generate DXF files for laser cutting and STP files for beam processing.
• Collaborate with the Sales Department to estimate material quantities and assist with project reviews.
• Handle additional tasks as needed, contributing to the team’s success.

What You’ll Need:

• High School diploma or GED (required).
• Fluency in 3D modeling software, such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or Inventor; OR some hands-on experience in 3D modeling combined with a background working in the metal fabrication industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and/or Inventor. Tekla experience is a plus.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Great communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• The ability to work independently and stay organized with minimal supervision; self-motivated.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Must be able to enjoy a laugh every once in a while. There will be pranks and decompression lunches - we take our job seriously while recognizing the importance of blowing off steam.
