Duties
- Respond swiftly to emergency calls, providing critical care on scene and during patient transport to healthcare facilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and trauma evaluations
- Manage airway patency, including Medication assisted intubation, administer medications, and intravenous fluids following established protocols
- Operate emergency medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) devices with precision
- Conduct triage at emergency scenes, prioritizing patient needs based on severity levels
- Maintain clear incident command communication during complex emergencies involving multiple responders or agencies
Requirements
- Valid Ohio certification as a Paramedic with current licensure
- Proficiency in emergency medicine procedures such as airway management, trauma care, neonatal resuscitation, and pediatric emergency care
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and vital signs interpretation
- Current ACLS, PALS and BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or driving in high-pressure situations
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
